Connect a workspace

  1. Open your Verb’s Slack page and select Add to Slack.
  2. Choose the workspace and review the requested permissions.
  3. Approve the installation. Your workspace may require an administrator’s approval.
  4. Return to Verba and test a DM or mention in a channel the app can access.
You install the shared Verba app. You don’t need to create a Slack app, paste tokens, or share your Slack password. User-triggered replies can display the Verb’s name and avatar. Some Slack app surfaces and autonomous messages still show the Verba app identity.

Channels and threads

Invite the app into the channels where you want it. DMs and mentions can trigger replies; /activate-channel enables autonomous participation in the current channel. Use /remove-channel to stop it. Enable Thread Replies to keep answers in the original thread. Verba doesn’t automatically join every channel in your workspace.

Choose its capabilities

The connected profile lets you grant:
  • Files, reactions, and polls
  • Manage the app’s messages
  • Channels and workspace tools
Enabling a capability may ask you to approve more Slack permissions. An expression toggle doesn’t grant access by itself. Expression controls include reactions, GIFs, workspace emojis, polls, thread replies, and scheduled messages. Slack’s permissions take priority; a bot generally cannot delete another person’s messages.

Commands and media

Use /generate <prompt>, /reset, /dashboard, or /ping, alongside the channel commands above. Each command has its own switch. Images arrive as file uploads. Attach a reference image or include an accessible image URL when describing a new image. With Voice Engine enabled, replies can include audio files. Slack does not support Verba live calls.
